What is Wonder Vision?
Wonder Vision is the first community-powered film festival in the Philippines, made for bold, creative storytellers.
From September to December, Wondervision invites filmmakers each month to create a 2-minute short film based on a unique theme we provide. To make it more fun and creatively challenging, a touch of visual effects (VFX) is required, big or small, as long as it helps tell your story. The winner receives a cash prize, and the prize pool grows with every contribution from the community.

Don’t fear creativity — wield it.
Don’t let the term “visual effects” intimidate you. This isn’t about having a full-blown CGI studio, it’s about using any kind of visual trick or enhancement to elevate your story.
Even just one simple VFX shot lasting 2–5 seconds is more than enough to qualify. We’re not looking for spectacle, we’re looking for imagination.
The Goal:
Wonder Vision was built to encourage bold, imaginative storytelling, even with minimal resources. VFX is our chosen device because it lets creators explore what’s possible, break genre boundaries, and bring audiences into unexpected worlds, even with a 2-minute short.
Visual effects (VFX) can be as simple as:
-
A glowing object added in post
-
A smoke effect or glitch overlay
-
A fake phone screen or hologram
-
Magical sparks, floating text/messages, or surreal color shifts
-
Fake wound / blood splatters
-
Muzzle flash
I believe the audience deserves a voice in shaping the future of cinema.

NOVEMBER THEME
TRANSPORTATION
Create a 2-minute short film with a story centered on transportation—in any form or imagination. It could be about a daily commute, a cross-country road trip, or a futuristic way to travel through space and time. From buses and bicycles to portals, rockets, or time-traveling devices, any mode of movement is welcome. Tell a story that captures the wonder, emotion, or chaos of getting from one place to another—across any genre or style.
Submit your entry on or before November 25, 2025

the prize pool
What if we gave the audience the power to shape the future of Philippine Cinema?
A film festival where every vote counts, every peso builds the prize, and every creator rises with the crowd.

Phase 1: Open Contribution Cycle
From 1st - 25th of the Month
This is the early support phase—the heart of the community effort.
You can contribute a specific amount in exchange for digital perks, or give any amount with no rewards at all, simply because you believe in the mission and want to support our filmmakers. Either way, you’re helping grow the prize pool—and this time, you’re not contributing blindly.
Each week, we’ll unveil new entries on our YouTube channel,
Wonderlast Films, showcasing how much story, heart, and craft filmmakers can deliver in just 2 minutes.
All entries will be publicly available and free to watch. Viewers can support their favorite films by liking, reacting, and sharing. These public engagements become part of our audience resonance metric, which makes up 20% of the Top 10 selection criteria.
As the prize pool grows, milestone rewards unlock, giving the winner not just cash, but essential gear to fuel their next project.
Sample Milestones
-
₱15,000 → Production Gear (e.g., lapel mic)
-
₱20,000 → Studio Light Set
-
₱30,000 → Subscriptions
(Milestones vary per month and will be revealed live.)
These aren’t just prizes, they’re building blocks for bold storytelling.
How the prize pool works?
The prize pool always starts with a base amount of ₱10,000, guaranteed for the monthly winner. But that’s just the beginning.
With the help of the community, this prize can grow, unlocking even more rewards for the creators.
There are two contribution phases in every festival cycle, each designed to uplift, reward, and empower storytellers.
Note: Wondervision takes 0%. Standard payment gateway fees may apply.
Phase 2: Vote & Contribute
From 16th - 25th of the Month
Once the Top 10 Finalists are revealed on the 16th, viewers can now cast official votes.
To vote, simply contribute ₱50 or more to support your favorite finalist.
Every vote adds to the prize pool and brings your chosen film closer to winning.
